Pair charged with murder of Clayton man

Fayetteville police have one suspect in custody and are looking another in connection with the shooting death of a man outside a home in the 600 block of Ashbrook Court.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have one suspect in custody and are looking another in connection with the shooting death of a man outside a home in the 600 block of Ashbrook Court.
Marcus Andre Calhoun, 22, of the 100 block of River Hills Drive in Clayton, was found, shot, near the front door of the home early Tuesday and taken to to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he died.
Late Tuesday evening, police arrested Antonio Dwayne Evans, 29, of the 6600 block of Amanda Circle, and charged him with first-degree murder in Calhoun's death.
The other suspect, Arthur William Butler, 35, of the 2700 block of Decatur Avenue in New York City, remains at large.

Authorities said the shooting does not appear to be random.
