I usually don't post fundraising stuff, but this is a cause near and dear to my heart so I am taking a little liberty here. I'll be walking in the Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer walk with our team, Marian's Marchers on September 8th to raise money for ovarian cancer research. My mom, Marian,  was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November of 2006 and passed away in July of 2009 after the cancer had spread. She was an amazing mom and an absolutely wonderful grandmother. We miss her each and every day.

This is our 6th year participating in this walk and raising funds for ovarian cancer research through Duke University. I am hopeful that one day there will not only be a better diagnostic tool but that there will be a cure so my daughters, your daughters and all the woman we know will not have to endure this terrible disease in the future.

If you are looking for a good cause to support - this is it! For more information on ovarian cancer or to support our team, Marian's Marchers,  click HERE.
