ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police have identified one of two men they believe kicked in the door to a Peachtree Street home and robbed three people.

Aligh-Juwan Strayhorne faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault and burglary. He remains at large.

Police said that Strayhorne and another man brandished a handgun and shotgun and demanded money from a man, woman and child in a home at 823 Peachtree St. shortly after midnight Wednesday. Strayhorne pointed the handgun at the man, police said.

The men took $1,500, a wallet and car charger and then fled on foot, police said. A K-9 search located the car charger, which was returned to its owner.

Strayhorne was arrested July 4 after an altercation at a nightclub in which he allegedly assaulted an off-duty police officer and a club patron.
