FOUR OAKS, N.C. — One man died and two others were critically injured Saturday night in Johnston County when their vehicle overturned.

The crash happened just after 11 p.m. on Juniper Church Road in Four Oaks. State troopers said the vehicle lost control while taking a curve, hit a ditch and flipped over.

All three men were ejected from the vehicle. Paul Woodall, 30, of Four Oaks, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, died.

Timothy Toole Jr. 25, who was in the back seat, and driver Andy Pilkington, 23, both of Four Oaks, were each taken to WakeMed with critical injuries.

Troopers said excessive speed and alcohol were a factor in the accident, and they are reviewing the case with the district attorney's office to determine whether charges should be filed.
