One person dies in Capital Boulevard wreck
The driver of a Ford pickup truck died in a single-vehicle wreck along Capital Boulevard shortly after midnight Friday, Raleigh police said.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — The driver of a Ford pickup truck died in a single-vehicle wreck along Capital Boulevard shortly after midnight Friday, Raleigh police said.
Police said the pickup crashed into a utility pole at Capital Boulevard and Fairview Road, and driver Jose Ayala Santoyo, 29, of 7804 Three Owls Drive in Willow Spring, was pinned. He died at the scene.
Passenger Carlos Ayala Santoyo was treated and released from WakeMed, police said.
Alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the wreck report.
