One killed in Smithfield shooting
One man was killed early Friday morning after a shooting in Smithfield, the Johnston County Sheriff's Office said.

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — One man was killed early Friday morning in a shooting in Smithfield, the Johnston County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies found Dorian Oneal Teachy, 25, of Dudley, lying near the road in the 1400 block of Yelverton Grove Road at about 12:30 a.m.
Teachy was taken to WakeMed where he later died, authorities said.
The shooting remains under investigation, however authorities do not believe the incident is random.
