One arrested, one sought on human trafficking charges

Authorities in Cumberland and Wake counties have arrested one man and are looking for another after charging the pair with human trafficking and promoting prostitution.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities in Cumberland and Wake counties have arrested one man and are looking for another after charging the pair with human trafficking and promoting prostitution.

Deshaun Frederick Marvin Fahie, 21, of 435 Timberline Drive, Fayetteville, is charged with first-degree sexual eploitation of a minor, second-degree exploitation of a minor, third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, human trafficking a child victim and promoting prostitution. He was in the Wake County jail Friday under a $1.2 million secured bond.

William Desean Hardy, 22, of 170 McLean Circle, Lillington, is charged with human trafficking and promoting prostitution. Authorities said Friday they are still searching for him.

Raleigh Police Department investigators alerted the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office in September after finding online listings for the prostitution of a young girl. The online ads were first posted in Wake County before being replicated in Cumberland County, investigators said.
