RALEIGH, N.C. — An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old from north Raleigh face charges that they kidnapped and robbed a man on Friday.

Shameke Hassan Powell, 17, of 2503 Ricky Circle, and Alexander Julian Adams, 18, of 2827 Seclusion Court, Apt. B., are charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping, and resisting a public officer.

The two held up a man at gunpoint, forced him to go somewhere against his will and took his wallet, according to arrest warrants.

Powell was given a $250,000 bond, and Adams a $200,000 bond. They were both scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Powell is on parole after finishing a three-month jail sentence in October, according to state Division of Adult Correction records. He was convicted of attempted larceny and two counts of receiving a stolen vehicle between September 2011 and July 2012. He served a four-month jail sentence from November 2011 through March 2012.

Adams was placed on probation in August after being convicted of misdemeanor drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, records show.
