A stroll down North Salem Street in downtown Apex can yield a variety of things – a great meal, a new outfit or even a bottle of North Carolina made barbecue sauce.
WRAL's Out & About recently took a trip to downtown Apex to explore some of the unique shops. We found boutiques like Fedora, which had cute summer dresses for around $30, and Flaunt, where we fell in love with a great pair of boots!
We discovered cute baby clothing, toys and nursery essentials at GreenPea Baby.
Another great find - Tirzas Wine & Artisan Gift Shop, which has Aviator beer on tap and North Carolina wine on the shelf. The store has tons of cute gifts, art and pottery, many of which made by North Carolinians.
The Rusty Bucket is another place with the pulse on the local market. In addition to their local crafts, they also sell North Carolina made barbecue sauces, honey and preserves.
Lilly's Home and Garden caught our eye for its amazing doorway. The inside is home to great garden accessories.
All of this and we didn't even get to the food!
Anna's Pizzeria is known for its pizza and bread. Peak City Grill and Bar just opened back up to serve lunch again.
