RALEIGH, N.C. — WRAL and our parent company, Capitol Broadcasting, have a long tradition of giving away thousands of azaleas to nonprofit groups around the area. This year marks our 30th Annual Azalea Celebration.

Groups can request up to 50 plants – in a variety of colors and sizes – for landscape beautification projects. The best maintained projects can then earn more free plants and up to $500 from the A.J. Fletcher Foundation.

If you are interested in applying to receive azaleas for your group please call 919-821-8773 and request a application. The deadline to apply for this year is Sept. 19. Plants are distributed in October.
