No charges filed in fatal Hope Mills shooting
Police said Tuesday that no charges will be filed in the shooting death last month of a Hope Mills man.
Posted — UpdatedHOPE MILLS, N.C. — Police said Tuesday that no charges will be filed in the shooting death last month of a Hope Mills man.
Lamont Deshay Saffore, of Crenshaw Drive, was shot to death on March 24 at a home on Casper Drive in the Golf Acres subdivision, police said.
Brionte Jaquan Lloyd, 23, was questioned after the shooting, but police said that, based on the evidence and following a consultation with Cumberland County prosecutors, they wouldn't pursue a criminal case against him or anyone else.
