Wings Over Wayne show returns to the air
The Navy's Blue Angels jet demonstration team is performing at the Wings Over Wayne air show at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base this weekend.

The annual Wings Over Wayne event features various flight demonstrations from military and civilian aircraft Saturday and Sunday. Performances by the Blue Angels in F/A-18 Hornets cap the show each afternoon. The squadron flies in more than 70 shows a year.
The show also features displays of about 25 aircraft and pieces of equipment, ranging from helicopters to sleek fighters and huge transports and aerial tankers.
Jumpers from the Army's Golden Knights parachute team at Fort Bragg also will perform.
The show runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with gates opening at 9 a.m. Admission is free.
Wings Over Wayne returns to the air after a one-year hiatus in 2008, when planners reorganized the show.
The most recent air show, in May 2007, attracted 100,000 visitors and pumped $2 million into the local economy, organizers said.
