FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Firefighters from New York are delivering presents to wounded soldiers at Fort Bragg.

New York's Nassau County fire crews on Thursday were handing out MP3 players and care packages consisting of sweat shirts, T-shirts, socks, shorts and shaving kits to the more than 700 wounded soldiers. The items were donated to the fire departments.

This is the second year the New York firefighters' Operation Wounded Warrior program has visited Fort Bragg. The program will also deliver gifts and packages this month to Camp Lejeune and two military hospitals in Washington, D.C.

The firefighters planned to pass out gifts at Camp Lejeune on Friday.
