This year's short session began 10 weeks ago. It wasn't until 10 days ago that both chambers passed a $21 billion budget for state government for 2008-09.
The General Assembly is close to passing a drought-response bill that would give the governor more power to make local governments conserve water and share during a shortage.
The House and Senate must decide whether to legalize ticket-scalping on the Internet.
The two chambers also must decide if they will address a potential shortfall in the state employee health plan.
