New Green Berets ready to accept any challenge
Ninety-six soldiers donned their green berets on Thursday at the conclusion of an Army Special Forces graduation ceremony in Fayetteville.

The Special Forces soldiers are skilled in unconventional warfare. They know the psychology of war, immerse themselves in a culture and strike stealthily. About 14,800 soldiers are in Special Forces, and about 3,200 are deployed in 36 countries.
Col. Donald Bolduc, assistant deputy director of Special Forces, said the iconic green berets mean something to people in those outposts.
"I can tell you that, in Afghanistan, it is a ubiquitous sign. It is a signpost. It is a mark of distinction. There are 42 countries there, and all 42 countries know who you are and know what you do," Bolduc told the graduates.
Moad said he and his fellow graduates can handle the challenges ahead.
"It feels great. It's an extraordinary feeling, a feeling that I've never felt before," Sgt. First Class Henry Adames said. "I've been to many schools in the Army, and this is definitely a feeling that is (best) bar none."
