Lenoir

This Caldwell County town is the birthplace of author Jan Karon and the home of Broyhill Furniture. It was named an All American City in 2008.

Beaufort

In Carteret County, Beaufort is the fourth oldest town in North Carolina. It's home to the North Carolina Maritime Museum, a beautiful historic district and the Old Burying Ground.

Graham

The Alamance County seat is named for Sen. William Graham. It saw gold fever in 1849.

Rockingham

This Richmond County town boasts the slogan "A City Looking Forward." It's home to both Rockingham Dragway and State Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin.

Henderson

This Vance County town is the birthplace of singer Ben E. King and hometown of journalist Charlie Rose. It boasts a gorgeous town library.
