Suspect in Raleigh cold case found in Haiti

Police said Fritzgerald Innocent, 42, was one of four men believed to be involved in the Dec. 19, 1991, death of Yule Harrison, then 23, on South Bloodworth Sreet in Raleigh.

Three of the suspects – Ray Jemone Crenshaw, Christopher Michael Wilson and Douglas McArthur Pace – were arrested about two weeks after the crime and served prison time for their role. Crenshaw and Wilson are still in prison, according to Jim Sughrue, spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department.

Innocent fled the Triangle not long after Harrison's death, and authorities said he was living in Haiti under an assumed name. Raleigh police worked with the U. S. Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force to find him. He was arrested there in the fall as he tried to leave the country on a fake passport, Sughrue said.
