Services held in Cary for fallen Marine
Capt. David "Seth" Mitchell, 30, was one of four Marines killed when two U.S. Marine helicopters – one UH-1 and an AH-1 Cobra – collided in flight over the southern province of Helmand in Afghanistan last week, military officials said.

Seth's father, Steve Mitchell, said he wanted to "start the healing process" and focus on good memories and fun times had with his son.
“We are going to miss him dearly and we are very proud of the man he had become,” Steve Mitchell said during the services at the Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Road.
Seth Mitchell will be buried Friday in Arlington National Cemetery.
He was born in Charlotte and graduated from Loveland High School in Loveland, Ohio, in 1997.
Seth Mitchell’s family said he died doing what he loved.
“He loved being a Marine and he absolutely loved flying that helicopter. He told me on more than one occasion, ‘Mom, I can’t believe I get paid for what I do,’” his mother, Connie Mitchell, said.
