Suspect sought in sexual assault at Apex park

APEX, N.C. — Apex police released a sketch Wednesday of an unknown man accused of sexually assaulting and exposing himself to women at Apex Community Park on Tuesday.

Around 11:30 a.m., the man sexually assaulted a woman on a walking trail, according to police. Before that, he exposed himself to another woman walking around the lake and then ran away, officers said.

Park employees on Wednesday handed out fliers about the crime and a description of the suspect to those along the greenway.

The suspect is a white man in his mid- to late 20s, stands 5 feet 11 inches tall with a slim build, has reddish-brown hair.
