Woman intoxicated before being found alongside Garner road
An autopsy report released Monday found that an 18-year-old woman was highly intoxicated before she was found unconscious on the side of a Garner road.

A passing driver found Mayela Orduna, of Red Oak, Texas, on the shoulder of Aversboro Road near Old Scarborough Lane on Feb. 17. She was pronounced brain dead 20 hours after being admitted to WakeMed.
An earlier toxicology report by the state chief medical examiner showed no alcohol in her blood based on a sample taken at the time of her autopsy. WakeMed tested Orduna's blood alcohol content hours earlier, upon her arrival at the hospital and found it was 0.279. Anything above .08 is considered "under the influence" in North Carolina.
Orduna's boyfriend, Spencer Bolick, told police that they argued at party at their apartment, then left in his 1993 Crown Victoria. Bolick told police that Orduna jumped from the car as he drove at 30 mph along Aversboro Road.
According to the autopsy report, Bolick drove away, but then went with partygoers to look for Orduna. The partygoers found her and called 911, but Bolick didn't stay stay at the scene.
After Orduna was pronounced dead, WakeMed doctors kept her on life support while her organs were donated.
Orduna died of a head injury consistent with exiting a moving car, according to the autopsy report.
Garner Police were investigating the case as a suspicious death but have not filed charges.
