Son, father charged in sexual assault

Stafon Frazier, who lives in Virginia with his mother, surrendered to Cary police Tuesday and was charged with second-degree sex offense and first-degree exploitation of a minor. He was being held Wednesday in the Wake County Jail under a $200,000 bond.

Dwayne Frazier, 42, of 522 Siltstone Place in Cary, was charged last week with second-degree rape and first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He previously was charged with second- and third-degree exploitation of a minor in the case.

After searching Dwayne Frazier's home, investigators found a video that showed him and his son committing sexual acts with the 17-year-old girl, police said. Dwayne Frazier was committing the acts against the girl's will, police said.

The girl's mother reported to police on Nov. 6 that her daughter had been videotaped having sex with Stafon Frazier and that she was raped.

Cary police began investigating Dwayne Frazier when they learned a man was showing portions of a sex video to people in the community, including officials at Panther Creek High School.

According to a warrant, he used video clips in an effort to clear his son of a rape accusation and to prove the sex was consensual.

The exploitation charges against the Fraziers are for making the video and showing it to others, police said.

Dwayne Frazier is a sergeant first-class with the Army's 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, part of the 82nd Airborne Division's 4th Brigade Combat Team at Fort Bragg.

Attorney Patrick Roberts said Dwayne Frazier denies the allegations.
