I-95 South in Smithfield to Be Closed

A section of I-95 South through Smithfield will be closed and traffic detoured next Tuesday for some bridge work.

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — A section of I-95 South through Smithfield will be closed and traffic detoured next Tuesday for some bridge work.

The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to close I-95 South just north of exit 95 at Brogden Road (State Road 1007) on April 22 and again on April 29 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Traffic will be detoured onto an access road during the closure.

Workers will be removing and replacing a damaged beam on the Brogden Road Bridge.
