Man Sentenced in Greenville Church Arsons
A Farmville man was sentenced Tuesday to more than 11 years in prison for breaking into three Greenville churches and setting two of them on fire in January.

Seth Parker Price, 28, of Stantonsburg Road, pleaded guilty to several counts each of breaking and entering, burglary and arson. He was sentenced to 140 to 172 months in prison.
Fires of Jan. 13 destroyed Memorial Baptist Church and damaged Unity Free Will Baptist Church. Oakmont Baptist Church also was burglarized.
Damage at Memorial Baptist Church was estimated at $1 million. The fire at Unity Free Will Baptist Church was contained to a single room.
A task force made up of local and federal investigators was created to investigate the church fires. But investigators said there was no evidence to suggest Price was connected with any hate groups.
Officers responded to a May 20 residential break-in in the Willow Run subdivision noticed a nearby house was on fire and saw Price running from the area. He was questioned by authorities and released but was later arrested and charged with the church fires.
