RALEIGH — Raleigh police called in rescue crews onlyto cancel the call minutes later, after a driver crashed into a tree anddied.
The accident happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday.
Police say they don't know what caused the driver to run off LeadmineRoad, nor have they released the driver's identity.
The car crashed into a tree near the intersection of Leadmine andCharles Drive.
Police say they believe only one car was involved.###
