FAYETTEVILLE — A Fayetteville teenager was shot and killed Wednesday night, on his birthday. Terrell McKoy was found lying in the middle of Slater Avenue.
Neighbors say they heard numerous shots fired. One bullet hit McKoy inthe head. He had just turned 17.
"It's sad to see a young child lose his life before he gets an opportunity to even start a life," says neighbor James Rouse, "and to see his grandmother come up here in tears and to see him lying out in the streetin a pool of blood, it's really heartaching. It's really bad."
Fayetteville police are now working on a motive and suspects.
