DURHAM — The annual Light Up Durham holiday celebrationwas a brilliant success for the public and the city Monday night. It was asuccess for Durham Public Schools as well.
Thousands of people poured into the Durham Bulls Athletic Park for themusical celebration. There was also a raffle to help pay for a MagnetSchool choir trip to London. Proceeds from the gala affair also gotoward other projects at Durham schools.
Last year, Light up Durham raised $3,000 for the Salvation Army.
