RALEIGH — Looking directly into a video camera behindthe lobby desk, a man robbed the Fairfield Inn just off Capital BoulevardSunday night.
The man said he knew he was being taped, then told the clerk he had agun in his pocket. He initially ordered her to hand over cash, but thenleaped over the 4-foot counter to grab $116 and then leave.
Police are looking for a black man about 30 years old. He is about 5feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, and weighs between 150 and 180 pounds.
