High School Students Raising Money for Memorial Scholarship Fund

FAYETTEVILLE — Some high school students have come up with a special way to honor the twostate lawmen killed along I-95 last week.

South View High School will begin raising money at its football gameFriday night. The money will be used for a scholarship fund, in memory ofDeputy David Hathcock and Trooper Ed Lowry.

Each year, the scholarship will be given to children of law enforcementofficers, or students who would like to be officers themselves one day.
