RALEIGH — Many people said it wasn't what Vincent Hall said, but the way he said it.Hall appeared very calm, well coached and collected on the stand Monday.Jurors deliberated for about 2 hours and the judge sent them home for thenight about 5 p.m. Deliberations will begin Tuesday about 9:30 a.m.

Hall chose his words carefully, stayed calm, and denied all of the allegations against him. He did the same thing in an interview with WRAL'sAmanda Lambshortly after his arrest.

That interview was used as defense evidence.

In closing arguments, who said what during the trial was the great debate. The defense said Catherine Harold, Kier Lohbeck's co-worker and witnessto his shooting death, didn't get her story straight until it was too late.

The defense scoffed at convicted felons who implicated Hall, the prosecution said all its witnesses together made the case.

At the end of the day Monday, the jurors asked several questions. Theywanted to see transcripts of statements made by some of the witnesses whotestified during the trial. They also wanted to see some exhibits, like anaerial photograph of the crime scene.
