Animals Not Immune to Heat Stroke

DURHAM — The weather is creating a health concern not only for people, but fortheir pets. Two dogs died Wednesday in Durham of heat stroke.

The animal protection society says there are things you can do to keepyour pets safe in the heat. If they have to be outside, make sure theyhave water. It's also important they have a shady place to relax. Wateris not enough to save a dog's life in extreme heat.
