CARRBORO — Carrboro police say a serial arsonist isresponsible for several fires set in Orange County. The fire departmentspent much of Tuesday dousing six suspicious fires.
The fires started early Tuesday morning and were set within a mile of each other in Chapel Hill and Carrboro and all began between 12:30a.m.and 4:30 a.m.
This was not the first rash of purposely set fires in the area.
