Friday is now a WRAL Weather Alert Day. Parts of Hoke, Cumberland and Sampson counties are under a level 2 risk for storms Friday afternoon and evening. The biggest threat will be damaging winds and heavy rain, but an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out in our southern counties. The storms are expected to impact these areas from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

<b>WILSON</b> — Just one day after Fathers day, some parentswhodon'tdo their jobs are headed to jail. Wilson Countydeputies launched a search for deadbeat parents early Monday morning.

They've been looking for parents who haven't been paying child support.Cumberland County worked a similar crackdown last week. Child supportofficers say sheriff's department crackdowns like this one, aresuccessful in bringing in a lot of owed money.
