DURHAM — Durham police and CCB banks had a busy dayThursday. Two armed robbers struck at CCB branches in Durham within hoursof each other.
The branch on Roxboro Road was hit at about 1 p.m. During thatrobbery, the suspect showed a gun and demanded money. He did get away withsome cash, but police won't say how much.
Three hours later, another CCB was hit, this one on HillsboroughRoad. The suspect revealed a .357 Magnum handgun, then fired it.He, too, made off with some money, but police pursued and caught him.
