HILLSBOROUGH — Police officers in Orange County arehunting for a man who's pretending to be a cop.
Earlier this week, a 17-year-old was pulled over on an isolated stretchof New Hope Church Road by a man with a blue light, a uniform and a gun.The fake police officer robbed the teen then drove off.
Police are warning people to be wary of this type of incident.They say unless the officer following you uses a siren, keep drivinguntil you get to a well-lit area before you pull over.
