Proposed Arena Faces More Questions

RALEIGH — There's yet another wrinkle in the plans for aproposed arena in Raleigh. North Carolina State Chancellor Larry Monteithsays the school will chip in for the project, but only if the arena isbuilt in line with school specifications.

Among things State wants are a say in naming the building, input on thecolor of seats, and a slot on the Centennial Authority, which is the mainfundraising group for the arena.

The university is openly discussing renovating Reynolds Coliseum andscrapping plans for the new $120 million facility.
