RALEIGH — It's called the Great Trash Bash, and it's nottoo late for you to don your best blaze orange vest and head out to help.
Thursday, state DOT leaders put on their vests and took to the highwaysto promote their cleanup project.
Between April 12 and 25, the department is asking for volunteers tohelp pick up litter off the sides of state highways. If you're interested,you can call Ann Walker at 715-3188.
