<b>ROCKY MOUNT</b> — A man who modified one of the vehiclesused in a fatal drag race may go to jail for his part in the incident.

Devance Morgan, 45, allegedly helped modify a 1982 Pontiac Firebirdthat raced a Camaro in Nash County last December. That illegal race endedin tragedy when the cars slammed into a crowd of spectators, killing twopeople.

Morgan is charged with aiding and abetting manslaughter and speedcompetition. He has been released on bond.
