RALEIGH — A little boy remains hospitalized as aconvicted drunk driver is charged again following an accident in RaleighSunday.
Police say a 6-year-old was struck and seriously injured on JonesStreet Sunday afternoon. Investigators have charged the driver of thevehicle that struck the child with DWI and driving with a revoked license.
Melvin MacClain, 50, had his license revoked last year after adifferent DWI conviction.
The child is now listed in critical condition at Wake Medical Center.More charges could be filed against MacClain if the boy does not survive.
