<b>RALEIGH</b> — State lawmaker Sam Ellis was in session today, recovering from a deadlycar crash yesterday.

Representative Sam Ellis was driving on U.S. 70 in Garner when his trucksmashed into a car trying to turn across traffic.  65-year-old Ruby Dunnof Selma died in the crash.  Her husband, Paul, is still in thehospital.

Ellis was treated for back and neck pain before being released lastnight.  Police say they probably won't file any charges in the case.
