SMITHFIELD — Traffic on Interstate-95 in Johnston Countyfinally began moving again late Friday afternoon after an accidentinvolving 11 vehicles.
The pile-up involved eight cars and three tractor-trailers just south ofSmithfield. Paramedics rushed at least four injured people to thehospital.
Troopers say the wreck was apparently a chain-reaction started with arisky move on the part of one driver. They have not said yet which, ifany, drivers will be charged.
