RALEIGH — There is a new push on to keep people informedif a child molester has moved into the neighborhood.

Ginger Bish says she knows what can happen when youdon'tknow. Her 14-year-old was assaulted by a convicted molester who moved tothe Triangle from Ohio. Under federal law, sex offenders must register intheir new state when they move from another, but only if they werereleased from prison after January 1, 1996.

Bish says she is trying to get that loophole closed so what happenedto her child won't happen to others.

At the urging of Bish's group, called Mothers Against Molesters, representative Carolyn Russell is sponsoring a bill to change the law.
