Light, Wet Snow Possible in Triangle Area

RALEIGH — Temperatures well above freezing kept anysnow from falling in the Triangle area Monday afternoon, and noaccumulation was expect Monday night as the precipitation ends.

WRAL-TV5 Chief MeteorologistGregFishelsaid the precipitation shouldend by about 7 p.m., and the mercury in the Raleigh area should stay abovefreezing until then. The light rain falling in the Triangle mightmix with some snow before ending, but Fishel said snow would notaccumulate.

The temperature could dip into the upper 20s overnight, so some slickspots on area roadways are possible. WRAL-TV5 and WRAL OnLine will carry acomplete list Tuesday morning ofany school or business delays.
