Authorities say that on Friday a man driving a light-colored full-sizedsedan with blue lights in the grille pulled over another driver in easternWayne County, and then stabbed him.
Wayne County Sheriff Carey Winders says this type of crime creates avery difficult situation for real law officers, as well as for drivers ingeneral.
Driver Cynthia Jarman says it makes her scared to be on the road.
There was a similar problem in the area between Raleigh and Durhama couple of years ago. Police say they have taken this type of crime, andmotorists' fear of it, very seriously ever since.
There are, they say, things you can do to stay safe if you are pulledover by an unmarked car.
Police say a real law officer will respect your concern.
The assailant is described as a black male, between the ages of 25 and35, weighing more than 200 pounds, and over 6 feet tall.At thetime, he was wearing a dark blue or black police uniform. Police now havea composite drawing of the suspect.
