The biggest threat will be damaging winds and heavy rain, but an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out in our southern counties. The storms are expected to impact these areas from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

<b>RALEIGH</b> — A Raleigh man is dead following a hit andrun accident early Thursday morning. police say they need the public'shelp in locating the driver of the car involved.

Kenneth Wales was struck at about 1 a.m. while walking on Creedmoorroad just north of Stonehenge Shopping Center. He later died from hisinjuries.
