<b>FAYETTEVILLE</b> — Fayetteville police say they'vecleared five armed robberies off the books from last year. Detectives havecharged Connie Ray Barnes with holding up fast food restaurants andforcing the employees into walk-in coolers.

Barnes faces 20 counts of kidnapping for those crimes. He's been in theCumberland County jail since August, when he was charged with shooting twopeople at a neighbor's home in Bonnie Doone.
