Their fifteen-year-old son, Frank, was just walking to Broughton HighSchool that September morning, when a car barrelled into him, throwing theteen about thirty feet in the air, until he landed on his head.

Police say the driver of the car, William Rice, was drunk.

William Rice had been charged with DWI four times before this accident. He was only convicted once.
