RALEIGH — Police are warning people in Raleigh tobe alert on area roadways following a carjacking Tuesday night.
This incident, the fourth this month in Raleigh, occurred atthe Sparkling Clean carwash off of Highway 70 near Pleasant Valley Road,when a man put a gun to the head of a BMW owner and demanded the keys tothe car.
Mike Kczmarek says he was vacuuming his car and was taken totally bysurprise.
Police say there are some things you can do to lessen your chances ofbecoming a victim. Try to drive in well-lit areas, be awareof your surroundings when you're driving, especially at night, andcooperate if you are approached by a carjacker.
