RALEIGH — There was a particularly nasty spill on theInterstate-440 Beltline Wednesday morning. A truckload of roofing nailsspilled all over the Inner Loop between the Hammond Road and SouthSaunders Street exits.
The road was closed for a short time as crews tried to clear away thenails.
Officials aren't sure hos the spill happened. they say anyone whoexperienced damage from the nails should call Raleigh police to report it.
