<b>DURHAM</b> — The North Carolina Highway Patrol hasreleased the identity of a pedestrian who was hit and killed on Interstate40 in Wake County.

Troopers say 36-year-old Valerie Denise Munden tried to cross theeastbound lanes of the highway near Airport Blvd. She was struck byseveral different vehicles.

According to authorities, the victim was homeless.
