FORT BRAGG — Thanksgiving came early for some FortBragg soldiers and their families. Dozens of engineers who were stationedin Bosnia returned home Thursday.
The hugs, kisses and smiling faces told the story, especially for Sgt.Brian Jackson whose trip home meant holding his 5-week-old daughter Hannahfor the very first time.
It is rare to see soldiers coming home this close to the holidays, butthese families say it will definitely make their holidays moremeaningful. Sindy Alexander, whose husband just returned, says there willbe plenty of thanks this year.
Even though the timing is considered good, the soldiers were about 10hours late getting in because of this morning's fog.
